THE PROBLEM: Technology is either an afterthought or neglected after it is set up initially. Too often, corners are cut in order to “just get it working,” with the intent to go back and fix it after the fact. That doesn’t happen as often or as thoroughly as it should, and even if all your technology is humming along smoothly, it can be brittle and needs periodic auditing.

TIM’S PERSPECTIVE: I believe in helping people figure out how to not only solve their technology issues, but also how to define them. Nebulously defined projects have next to zero chance to be completed on time or within budget, so my primary focus is to help my clients develop a roadmap to success and then help them to execute it. This process involves looking at big picture problems first, and then drilling down to the details of how to solve them. Implementation is the easy part; everything that comes before that is where the real hard work is. To that end, my goal is to make everything I touch better, no matter if it is something I develop or something I fix.
